Megan and Santiago would like to facilitate a discussion about the role of project management in an agile development team (see wikipedia.org). They would like to share with and hear from others the struggles of implementing an agile development approach in a work environment that may not be very lithe, yet can reap many rewards from an iterative development approach. The goals of this session will be to identify successful practices that involve user stories, casing analysis, release cycles, project management software, and various methods such as SCRUM, LEAN, and EXTREME.

Megan Dushin works with a talented team of developers at the Institute on Community Integration. She is currently managing the redesign of the Institute’s site using the agile method, migrating from static pages to primarily shared, data-driven, dynamic content.

Santiago Fernandez-Gimenez has an MA in Strategic Communications and works as an information architect and web project manager at Academic Support Resources, a central student services unit at the University of Minnesota. He is interested in applying strategic communications theory to web development, in terms of user experience research and design, as well as organizational communications and project management. He works in a collaborative web team with developers and UI designers that has been moving to an agile methodology.

How come when I upload a downloaded web design template, the website has no style when published?

Question by SamThePunk95: How come when I upload a downloaded web design template, the website has no style when published?
When I previewed it on notepad it was perfect but when I published it, the background was white, the links were purple, and the font was black. In other words no style.
I’m not familar with css. Also what is the directory? Thanks.
I am using Bullet Proof FTP Client 2.45. I am uploading this to a domain I bought through GoDaddy.
Do youe mean that I have to upload the file named “style” to /public_html/ ?
